About Us
Our Mission
what we do

If you've ever felt a sting of disappointment at a "happy birthday" timeline post or an email event invitation, longed for a box of letters to swoon over instead of scrolling through your phone to find the first texts from your sweetheart or gazed upon the harsh yellow pages of a legal pad with distaste, we're happy you're here.

From the life changing occasions like announcing your nuptials right down to getting you organized for that big meeting later this week, we've got your back. We want to help you congratulate your sister on the arrival of her new bundle of joy and throw a surprise birthday party so unforgettable it will immortalize your title of Best Friend Forever. We’re here to enhance all of life's noteworthy moments.

Our Promise
what we believe

We never settle for ordinary and we don't think you should either. We will always create design forward, innovative, one of a kind products in custom, trend-setting designs. It's what Elum was founded on. Everything we make is crafted with great care and we always sweat the small stuff. If something doesn't meet our quality standards, we simply will not sell it. We promise to always deliver thoughtfully designed products that leave an impression.

We have collaborated with some of the biggest retailers and brands in the country! See a few of our favorite featured collaborations below. E-mail if you're interested in learning more about working together or to get a copy of our capabilities showcase.

Who We Are
What We're Made Of
the uber talented Elum team

We are a small but mighty crew of award-winning designers and printmakers who still believe in the power of paper correspondence. We wake up every morning excited to run our fingers over a batch of 100% cotton rag paper fresh off the press and know that the act of giving a greeting card is like sending love in paper form.

We are designers, painters, illustrators, hand-letterers, typesetters, printers and inventors. We obsess over every impression created by our vintage letterpress machines and are inspired by everything from classic simplicity to fashion forward trends. We don't do generic. We're committed to making extraordinary products that you will love with care put into every detail. We want the world to look at paper with the same stars in their eyes that we do.

our founding craft

Letterpress is a printing technique that embeds the artwork into the paper. The plates used in letterpress printing are called relief plates, meaning that the image area to be printed is raised from the surface of the plate. The press operator handsets and hand inks the plates that are used to imprint the designs and lettering onto the paper. The letterpress works to sink the image into the surface of the paper, creating a textured, 3 dimensional design. The technique of letterpress printing began in the mid 1400s with the invention of movable type by Johannes Gutenberg. For centuries, letterpress was the only method of printing used for reproduction. The process of letterpress printing is a tedious labor-intensive craft that requires the utmost attention to detail. Today, after centuries of change and technological advances in printing methods, the processes and craft of letterpress printing have remained virtually unchanged.
