Here's how it all works . . .


Step 1

 

ORDER SAMPLES

We highly recommend ordering printed samples. Obtaining physical samples allows you to see and feel the spectacular quality of our invitations and our letterpress printing first-hand. We hand mix each and every ink color right in our boutique print shop, and we strongly recommend ordering an assortment of our letterpress color swatches. Colors depicted on a monitor can vary quite a bit from the actual printed swatch, samples will enable you to see your ink color on paper and to mix & match different color combinations you may be considering. Your first 5 color swatches are free with the purchase of your invitation sample.

Elum Designs Ink swatches are only available for the Elum Couture invitation collection, but if you are ordering from another collection and know the color you want, specify that color on your sample request form and we will do our best to find it for you. Or, if you have a very specific color in mind, just send us a swatch and we will recommend the closest color match, or hand mix a new color just for you.

ONE-OF-A-KIND INVITATIONS

If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind invitation design, our award-winning design team will provide you with a personal design consultation, guide you through the process, and provide you with an estimate for design and printing. We recommend pulling together an inspiration board that you can share with us for visual reference. To schedule your consultation, just contact us.


 

Step 2

PLACE YOUR ORDER

Once you have selected your design suite along with your fonts, colors and any additional accessories, we can move forward with your order. To start, you will need to fill out our Custom Order Form. We know these forms can be quite convaluted, so if you need assistance, just contact us and we will walk you through it. Within 48 hours of receiving your completed order form, we will generate a formal estimate and email you a contract along with it.

DESIGN CONSULTATION

If you would like to discuss your order with a designer, we can assist you with anthing from style selections, color recommendations, creative wording, invitation etiquette, mailing time lines, etc. To schedule your personal design consultation, just send an email request to: info@elumdesigns.com


 

Step 3

CUSTOMIZE YOUR ORDER

Once we have received your order form and have a signed contract with deposit in hand, the fun can begin! We will create a customized digital proof displaying your design selection in your choice of colors, text & fonts, and incorporate any additional creative modifications you want to include in your design. The proof will be a digital rendering sent via email and will be sent to give you a digital preview of what your actual invitation will look like. Initial proofs are provided via email within 3-5 business days from receipt of deposit.

Elum Designs Custom design modifications requiring more than 30 minutes may result in additional design fees.

Step 4

PRINTING

After we receive signed proof approvals on all items contained in your custom order, we will proceed into production. You will receive an email confirmation noting our receipt of signed approvals and an estimated completion date for your custom order. Payment of the balance in full is required before your custom order will be released for shipment.

Elum Designs All orders shipped to residential locations are signature required.


TURN TIMES

Elum Designs All turn times are calculated from the day the final proof is approved. See below for turn times that vary by collection.


ELUM COUTURE  /  15 business days

UMI AFFORDABLE /  10 business days

HOLIDAY  /  10 business days

BABY  /  10 business days

PERSONAL STATIONERY  /  10 business days

Elum Designs Special finishes that are hand applied, such as Backers, Edge Painting, Dusting or Hand Assembly will add additional days to the overall turn time for each process.

Step 5

GET YOUR ORDER FASTER

If you need your order sooner than the turn times listed above, here are the following options to get your order faster.


ADVANCED ENVELOPES

Also known as "Early Envelopes," this option means your envelopes will be printed ahead and turned in half the time of your overall order. Ordering your envelopes in advance is a great way get a jump start on your hand addressing without paying a rush fee on the entire order. The fee for ordering Advance Envelopes is $99. The request for Advance Envelopes must be made no later than the date the final order is approved.


RUSH YOUR ORDER

Rush services are available and guarantee shipment of your entire custom order in half the standard turn time. For example, receive your rush Couture Letterpress Wedding Invitation order within 7 business days, or your Umi affordable invitation order within 5 business days. The fee for rush services requires a 50% up-charge.
