Whether it is to help with design selection from our current custom collection or to discuss a custom creation for a one-of-a-kind design project, our talented design team is available to provide you with a personalized design consultation. We can also assist you with color consulting, wording, invitation etiquette, mailing time lines, and anything else you may need to ensure your custom order runs smoothly.
Before placing your order, we highly recommend ordering printed samples by filling out our Printed Samples and emailing it to samples@elumdesigns.com. This will enable you to see and feel the quality of our product and our letterpress printing first-hand. We also recommend ordering samples of our color swatches. It is important to note that the swatches shown on your screen are not intended to be an exact match to the printed colors. Our small letterpress printed swatches will allow you to see your color specifications on paper and enable you to mix and match different color combinations you may be considering. Your first 5 color swatches are free of charge. (Ink swatches are only available for Elum Couture invitations. Umi ink swatches are not available).
Once you have selected a design, font(s), color(s) and embellishment(s), download a Custom Order Form. When the order form is completed, email it to proofs@elumdesigns.com. Your order will be opened and you will be put in touch with a personal Elum design consultant. Should you need any assistance with creative selections or wording, call 800-536-ELUM and a design consultant will be happy to assist you.
If you would like to pursue a one-of-a-kind invitation design, please call 800.536.ELUM and one of our designers will provide you with a personal design consultation, guide you through the process, and provide you with an estimate prior to proceeding to Step 2. Note that turn times may vary for highly customized one-of-a-kind jobs.
Within 48 hours of receiving your order we will email you a contract and estimate along with a payment form for a 50% deposit. Once we receive your signed contract and deposit, we will then move forward with creating digital proofs for your custom order.
Within 3 business days from receipt of deposit you will receive digital proofs via email. All orders include one set of color proofs and one round of revisions within the original estimate for the job. If additional changes are needed, additional charges will apply. There is no charge for revised proofs due to errors made by Elum.
If all wording, spelling, artwork, and order specifications are correct, the OK TO PRINT AS IS box should be checked and a signature is required on each proof provided.
After we receive signed proof approvals on all items contained in your custom order, we will proceed into production. You will receive an email confirmation with receipt of signed approvals and an estimated completion date for your custom order.
Once all of the elements in your order are approved, we then proceed to the final step: printing. A final invoice containing the remaining balance and any additional charges incurred will be submitted. Payment of the balance in full is required before your order will be released for shipment. Couture Letterpress Wedding Invitation orders ship approximately 15 business days from the date of final approval. Umi Invitation orders ship approximately 10 business days from the date of approval. Baby, Holiday and Letterpress Correspondence orders ship approximately 10 business days from the date of approval. Turn time is calculated from the date signed proofs are received by Elum.
A final invoice containing the remaining balance and any additional charges incurred will be emailed to you. Please note that payment of the balance in full is required before your order will be released for shipment. Custom Wedding Invitation orders ship approximately 4 weeks from the date of final approval. Baby, Holiday and custom Stationery orders will ship approximately 2 weeks from the date of approval. Turn time is calculated from the date your signed proofs are received by Elum. Rush services are available and guarantee shipment of your custom Wedding Invitation order within two weeks for an additional 50% up-charge.
Rush services are available and guarantee shipment of your Couture Letterpress Wedding Invitation order within 10 business days, or your Umi Invitation order within 5 business days for an additional 50% up-charge.
Advance envelope printing is available only for Couture Letterpress Wedding Invitation and Umi Invitation orders. The envelopes are treated as a separate run and are ready to ship within 10 business days from the date of approval for Couture Letterpress Wedding Invitation orders or 5 business days from the date of approval for Umi Invitation orders. An additional charge applies.
